Chad R. Schroll, CPA – Director of Tax and Planning

Chad graduated from Valparaiso University in 1998 with a Bachelor degree in Accounting. After a brief stint in industry, he entered public accounting in 1999 at Lysaught, Salmon & Company. Chad’s 12 plus year career in public accounting has included working as a book keeper, tax preparer, auditor, business advisor, tax planner, operations consultant and with his in-depth knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code he has fought the IRS successfully in getting tax notices abated. Chad also has been entrusted by our clients to act as their outside controller.

Chad has been a member of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors for over 8 years including being a past chairman of the ambassador committee as well as a past ambassador of the year. He has been a past president of the Leads R us referral group in Michigan City along with the membership coordinator for the local chapter of BNI. Chad also has been active in the LaPorte County United Way having served on their allocation panels for the past 2 years.

David Lesnik – Director of Accounting & Auditing

David graduated from Purdue University in 1992 with a Bachelor degree in Accounting. After a brief period in industry, he entered public accounting in 1995 at Lysaught, Salmon & Company.  After 5 years with the company, David was sought after by another accounting firm. He stayed there for 2 years before he was sought after again and accepted the challenge to turn around a failing 25 year old company by becoming the CFO of one of the largest and longest running independent chains of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in the United States. Due to his outstanding success in turning around the La-Z-Boy franchise, La-Z-Boy, Inc. ($1.6 billion Furniture Company) made him a Regional Controller and used his work in their “Best Practices”. After 7 years at La-Z-Boy he accepted the opportunity to become a Controller at Fiserv, a Fortune 500 company ($4.1 billion Software Company), for 4 years before coming back home to Lysaught, Salmon & Company in November of 2011.

David was a past Treasurer of Open Door Health Center in Michigan City. He also was active with Junior Achievements for 4 years, whereby he taught kids in Michigan City schools from grades 1-12.

Debby J. Glueckert, CPA – Senior Accountant

Debby graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education and received a post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Indiana University Northwest in 1985. Debby spent 25 years in industry primarily in the accounting department before joining Lysaught, Salmon & Company in July 1999. 

Debby has been a member of Women in Leadership LaPorte County (formerly Women in Management) for over 12 years. She was also an active member of American Business Women’s Association for 30 years until the chapter disbanded in July 2011.

Joyce Merrell – Staff Accountant & QuickBooks Liaison

Joyce graduated from Purdue University North Central where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in General Business with an Accounting major.  She entered public accounting in 1989, after spending over 20 years in the banking industry. She began her career at Lysaught, Salmon & Company in 2002. Joyce has 17 plus years of experience in the public accounting field that includes bookkeeping, tax, accounting, and attest services.

Joyce has been a member of Women in Leadership LaPorte County (formerly Women in Management) for over 7 years.

Krystal Lesnik – Sales & Marketing Manager

Krystal has joined the firm as our newest member. She is responsible for marketing the firm. She brings a background of retail marketing and management. She was formerly a manager of a well known large chain store where her duties included marketing, managing staff and sales.  Her role will be to advance our firm through the firm’s website and local marketing presence.
